This site is primarily about bridge. Interested in Scrabble instead? Then, as my better half has been British Scrabble champion, her side of the site is better. Her blog, Country Strife, provides insight on our life in Scottish Borders, including the dogs, our home and her development of the garden.
I am a keen bridge player, paulg on Bridge Base Online. My regular partner is my brother, Alex (gipsona), and we try and play in many of the major tournaments. Work has always prevented us from playing as much bridge as we would like and now I've increased the distance between us, so we try to make the most of the times we can play.
I have a blog that tracks my bridge activities. Read the beer card to follow the tournaments, both on-line and off-line, that I participate in.
Our system is based on 2/1 with a Short Club with an increasing influence from the systems of the top Italians. You can download our convention card that provides some details of our methods.
